A. Objective

The description of issues

Nowadays, the prevalent of information technology accelerate the development of

personal computers. Since the software that we are using such as CAD, PC Games

and Operation systems need the personal computers have powerful performance,

otherwise, some software cannot be run. Therefore, it is necessary for us to upgrade

the hardware inside personal computers to attain the system requirement of the new

software.

The requirement of the task

To raise the performance of the computers, there are some personal computers

components are needed to upgrade.

Central Process Unit (CPU), Random Access Memory (RAM) Graphic card and

Mainboard are the heart of a personal computer and these components are the key to

determine the performance of a personal computer. Hence, the main upgrade parts are

these components.

Difficulties of producing the report

Firstly, the most difficult problem is that it is hard to get many different of personal

computers components for the test or comparison.

Secondly, the compatibility of different hardware is not guaranteed. There is the

chance to interrupt between the personal computers parts such as SDRAMS are not

supported by the new mainboard. So it will add the difficulty on the comparison

between the different personal computers.

Thirdly, the equipment of different personal computers may not be same. It is difficult

to identify the performance of the only one hardware.
